So This is Winter . . .

(to the tune of So This is Christmas – with apologies to John Lennon)

So this is winter

and we're having fun,

no gray skies above us

the weather is warm.

And so this is winter

on tropical shores,

the surf is abundant

with breezes galore.

And so this is winter

with sun up above,

warm beach sand envelopes

our toes like a glove.

A very good winter

no gloom hereabouts,

the ocean, it sparkles,

whales, offshore, blow spouts.

And so this is winter,

our sixth in a row,

Hawaiian existence

beats cold rain and snow!
