WATER, WATER, EVERYWHERE . . .

The mention of water on the Waianae Coast most often brings to mind sea (kai) and surf and, of course, the beaches.

Move upland from the coast, however, and in arid Westside valleys, fresh water (wai) becomes dominant in the thought process.

As with other arid regions across the globe, adding fresh water brings the landscape to life.

For us here at MVT, the wai of Makaha Valley offers some of the best drinking-water quality on the island of Oahu.

In past times and now even current times, the wai means much more than that.
