ANNUAL ODE TO THE HOLIDAYS . . .

For several years running now, here at makahatowers.com we have forwarded our seasonal good wishes in the form of a poem based upon a popular Christmas song. So, even though it's now winter, and spring is months away, with trade-winds blowing strong, we'd like to consider this year's issue as a celebration of palm Sunday:
O' COCO PALM (To the Tune of O' Christmas Tree)
O' coco palm
o' coco palm,
we love
your gentle swaying.
The breezes
of the trade-winds blow,
your fronds,
they're waving to and fro.
O' coco palm
o' coco palm,
we love
your gentle swaying.
Your foliage
spreads majestically,
sweeping sky
so purposefully.
O' coco palm
o' coco palm,
we love
your gentle swaying.
You dance
in waves of atmosphere,
like hula moves
we all hold dear.
O' coco palm
o' coco palm,
we love
your gentle swaying.
Your motion
means the winds aloft,
caress our bodies
nice and soft.
O' coco palm
o' coco palm,
we love
your gentle swaying.
The rhythm
of your trunk and leaves,
brings inner calm,
tranquility.
O' coco palm
o' coco palm,
how we love
to see you swaying!
